This copy additionally carries a handwritten inscription/dedication on the title leaf, dated to the jihai year and referencing the Nanxi Academy, making it an artist- or institution-associated presentation copy rather than a plain retail copy. Hardcover. Condition: As New. Quarter-bound in dark sage-green cloth boards with the title gilt-stamped vertically on the spine, with publisher's device also gilt-stamped at the foot of the spine. The cloth spine has no rubbing, bumping, or fading, and the corners are sharp and unworn throughout. The pictorial front-board image is pristine. Text block and page edges are clean, square, and have no foxing, tanning, or staining. The interior carries a handwritten ink inscription in Chinese on the title leaf, in lieu of a printed limitation or dedication page ? this is the only mark of use in the book; otherwise the interior plates and text pages show no foxing, creasing, or handling wear.
