Synopsis
In the winter of 1944, an extremely miserable battle against the Japanese invaders began in Guilin, a beautiful place. The city, both inside and outside, was in great blood-shed. The heroic Chinese officers and soldiers, armed with Hanyang weapons, fought against the outnumbered Japanese invaders armed with sophisticated weapons under the harsh conditions of no reinforcements and limited army provisions. By virtue of the heroic spirit, they took advantage of the vantage ground and launched a deadly fight against the enemy which applied the poison gas; Chinese officers and soldiers advanced wave upon wave and never surrendered. The roaring blood tide of Li River shocked the world - the War of Defend Guilin became a solemn and stirring poem in the history of Anti-Japanese War.
