《华侨华人研究报告2020》除总报告外，分为教育文化篇、经贸法律篇、企业经营篇、新移民篇四个专题。总报告回顾了21世纪前期世界侨情特点，对华侨华人社会发展脉络、华侨华人数量、分布和籍贯新变化、海外华商的实力、华人社团的组织形态、华侨华人专业人的回国贡献进行了评析。教育文化篇共有四篇报告，主要调查华侨华人语言教育与文化传承情况。经贸法律篇有两篇报告，一是对21世纪以来我国有关涉侨权益保护有关的司法裁判进行了详尽的统计及分析，二是分析2006-2018年全球110个国家贸易、文化等层面的基础数据，。企业经营篇有两篇报告，一是调查了日本长崎的华人企业泰益号，二是调查菲律宾、泰国和马来西亚华人企业经营的情况。新移民篇有两篇报告，一是调查了柬埔寨近30年来中国移民的基本情况与特点，二是对移民新加坡的高层次人才进行了调查。《华侨华人研究报告2020》通过以上四个专题全面把握目前华侨华人在海外的*生存现状，并提出有价值的政策建议。
