《曾熙临古书法作品集》遴选了曾熙所书篆书、隶书、楷书、行草，几种书体，其临摹古碑帖作品中以《华山碑》《夏承碑》《黄庭经》《瘗鹤铭二种》最为著名。其中《华山碑》，是汉碑隶书成熟时期的代表作之一；《夏承碑》为著名汉碑之一，其结字奇特、隶篆参杂、骨气洞达、神采飞扬；《黄庭经》为上清派经典，历代书家多以小楷写之，曾熙所临虽属小楷，仍有汉碑古意；《瘗鹤铭》是南朝梁时著名的摩崖题铭刻石，被历代学者及书家尊奉为“大字楷书”之宗。
