Synopsis

The Classic of Filial Piety is a Confucian ethics in ancient China. According to the legend, it is written by Confucius. But in the Southern Song Dynasty, it has been suspected to be farfetched conclusion by later generations. Ji Yun of the Qing Dynasty points out in the Catalogue of Siku Quanshu that the book records ""the last words of apprentices of seven Confucian disciples"", which is written in the Qin and Han Dynasties. From the Western Han Dynasty to Wei, Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties, hundreds of schools of thought comment on it. Now the popular version is commented by Emperor Xuanzong Li Longji of the Tang Dynasty and sub-commented by Xing Guo of the Song Dynasty. The whole book consists of 18 chapters.
