Synopsis
姚福奎日记名《姚星五日记》，五册，稿本，藏南京图书馆，收录姚福奎光绪五年至光绪十五年间的日记。姚福奎字星五，清咸丰元年举人，历任松江府娄县教谕、常州府学教授等，归里后掌教游文书院。姚氏日记主要记载清末中下层文士的日常生活，如交游、购书、出行等。十余年间日记较为完备，几无阙漏，便于日常生活史的研究，了解晚清江南地区中下层文士的物质生活与精神文化生活。此外，因姚氏曾任教谕、府学教授，且擅长绘画、制谜等，故其日记对于晚清的教育、艺术等领域而言，亦具有一定的研究价值。
