Synopsis
As a series of newspaper reading materials of Chinese specially compiled for foreign students studying in China, it can help Chinese learners at intermediate level improve rapidly their ability to read Chinese newspapers and periodicals, thus effectively promoting their general capability in Chinese. The series is composed of two books, each containing 12 lessons divided into three units, each of which includes a reviewing part. Book One has the following topics: environmental protection (including climate change, biodiversity, green life, environment-friendly industry), cultural heritage (including museum culture, intangible cultural heritage, world heritage, traditional Chinese medicine), and new life (like workplace, the Internet, body building, and travelling). Each unit provides guiding map and key words and each lesson contains five newspaper articles and exercises.
