Synopsis
《礼记》与《仪礼》、《周礼》合称为“三礼”，是一部儒家思想资料汇编。《礼记》最初为附在《仪礼》后的记文，有《大戴礼记》和《小戴礼记》之分。编者依照刘向《别录》中对《礼记》篇目的分类，共列通论、制度、丧服、吉事、祭祀、其他六章，章下分节以《礼记》原篇名名之，按照原篇先后顺序排列，每节节选原文若干。文后附注释、译文，方便同学们理解原文。每篇节选内容，意在让同学们大概了解什么是礼，古人为什么制礼，礼的作用是什么，礼有什么样的规定，古人怎么践行这套礼仪制度。编者在内容选择上更多贴近当今社会生活，希望同学们在学习过程中可以对相关命题有所思考。
本书原文以《四库全书》本《礼记正义》为底本，凡译文及注释部分参考孙希旦《礼记集解》，钱玄《三礼通论》、《三礼辞典》，杨天宇《礼记译注》和王文锦《礼记译解》。本书还参考了王力《中国古代文化常识》和彭林《中国古代礼仪文明》等著作。
