Synopsis
The Intermediate Reading Series consists of 4 volumes. Each volume has 15 lessons. Altogether there are 60 les- sons. Every lesson is divided into 2 parts: Skills, Reading Practice. Skills are designed for learning Chinese grammar, sen- tence structure, paragraph construction, etc. and each Reading Practice part includes 4 passages. Each pas- sage in Book I. contains about 200 ~ 500 characters. Passages in Book II. contain about 400 ~ 500 charac- ters. Passages in Book III. and IV. contain about 500 characters each.
