About the Author:

Dr. Piyush Gupta MD, MAMS, FIAP is professor of pediatrics at the university college of medical sciences, Delhi. He is teaching pediatrics for two decades. He has authored 3 books including"ghai essential pediatrics"; 15 book chapters; and over 100 indexed papers. he was a visiting professor to BPKIHS, dharan, nepal; and course designer for diploma MCH, IGNOU. he is recipient of visiting fellowship by the Royal college of pediatrics, London; fellowship of the indian academy of pediatrics(IAP); and traveling award by the American academy of pediatrics. he is associate editor of 'indian pediatrics'; member, world association of medical editors; secretary, IAP education center; and a temporary advisor to WHO. his thrust areas are medical education, nutrition and biomedical editing. he can be contacted at drpiyush@sify.com.
