Azizur Rahman Chowdhury is a renowned Professor in the Department of Law, Dhaka University. He was Chairman in the Department of Law during 1982-83 and Dean of the Faculty of Law for some time. He has contributed many research articles and published several textbooks in law. Some of his remarkable books are Jurisprudence; Constitutional Law and Commercial Law. He has made illustrious contributions to the development of legal studies in Bangladesh. He has significant contributions in translating the writings of experts in constitutional law and human rights.
Md. Jahid Hossain Bhuiyan teaches law in the Department of Law, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology. He was coordinator of the Department of Law, Uttara University in 2005-06. During his studies in Belgium he gained valuable experience in legal practice with the lawyers of European countries. He has to his credit many articles published in reputed journals of Australia, Bangladesh and India. He has delivered talks in a number of national and international seminars.
Shawkat Alam teaches law at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. He has published extensively in his area of research in scholarly and referred journals. He was co-editor of Macquarie Law Journal and Macquarie Journal of International and Comparative Environmental Law (peer reviewed scholarly journals) in 2007 and 2006 respectively. Alam has secured internal and external research grants for research projects in the areas of international law and sustainable development. He is currently supervising a number of Ph.D. students in different research areas of law.
