About the Author

Dr. Manas Ranjan Senapati(b.1968) is working at present as Professor and HoD of Chemistry in TridentAcademy of Technology, Bhubaneswar. He did his doctoral degree from Utkal University,Bhubaneswar in1993 as the youngest PhD awardee at the age of 24. He also did his postdoctoral research as CSIR Research Associate. Dr. Senapati teaches Chemistry,Materials Science, Environmental Engineering etc. to the B.Tech students. Dr.Senapati is a committed teacher and apart from teaching he has establishedhimself as a good researcher. His areas of interest include solute-solventinteraction, solid waste management, pollution control, climatology and biofuels.He has published more than thirty five research papers in national andinternational journals of repute. He also contributes popular science articlesfor newspapers and magazines. Dr. Senapati has convened many national andInternational seminars and workshops. He is editorial board member of manyinternational journals. He has chaired technical sessions in national andinternational conferences.
 
Dr. Senapati is a lifemember of many academic bodies and professional societies such as New YorkAcademy of Sciences, Indian Society for Technical Education and Odisha BigyanAcademy.
