About the Author
Born in , Satinder Bindra is CNN s New Delhi Bureau chief and a senior international correspondent for the network, responsible for news coverage in and the South Asian region. During a seventeen-year career that spans three continents, Satinder has worked for some of the world s leading news organizations and has been honoured with numerous international accolades. He has reported from Baghdad on the capture of Saddam Hussein; from the Taliban bastion of Kunduz, , after the 9/11 attacks; and from refugee camps during the war in Kosovo in 1997.Satinder Bindra is married with two children, and likes to spend his spare time travelling and playing tennis.
