She has presented papers on gender issues and chaired sessions at various international conferences in the USA, Canada, Australia and UK. She edited Her Story So Far: Tales of the Girl Child in India for Penguin Books India in 2003. She teaches Economics in Delhi University and is a Fellow at the Developing Countries Research Centre, Delhi University
