About the Author:

Major General G.D. Bakshi (retd.) is a combat veteran of many skirmishes on the LOC and counter-terrorist operations in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. A winner of the Sena Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal, he has held many prestigious posts in several military and non-military organizations. His books include Limited Wars in South Asia, Afghanistan The First Fault Line War, The Indian Art of War, The Paradox of Pakistan and The Rise of Indian Military Power: Evolution of an Indian Strategic Culture. He has two children and lives in Gurgaon with his wife Suneeta.
