The fundamentals of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya have their basis in Hindu tradition and philosophy. The basic concepts of service, tolerance, glory of the Sadhu, faith, love for God, doer-ship of God, supremacy of God, ever-presence of God, Aksharbrahma and many more, form the core of Swaminarayan philosophy and practice. Each of the 25 chapters explicates a fundamental concept of Swaminarayan Satsang, first through relevant quotations of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the gurus in the scriptures and then through illustrative incidents selected from the Sampradaya's history. The spiritual endeavors described in this book focus not on rituals and practices, but on the underlying spiritual understanding and realization necessary to make the external practices more profound and fruitful.
