The book Organisation and Structure of Women Development and Empowerment has been divided into 11 chapters to focus on administrative political and voluntary mechanism available to promote women development and solve existing potential and emerging problems pertaining to women. Chapter 1 of the book deals with the constitutional status women potentiality and globalisation. Chapter 2 concentrates on the concept of women development and empowerment affecting women in its various facets followed by the chapter 3 which examines the challenges of women development and empowerment in 21 century. Chapter 4 relates to the role of UN systems in providing platform for discussion and exchange of information on problems faced by women in the world and specific countries and the methodology to overcome them. It also deals with assistance to India both in financial and non financial form. Chapter 5 examines the structure functions and role of the department of women and child development ministry of human resource development GOI New Delhi. Chapter 6 examines the role of national council for women. Chapter 7 examines the role of Central Social Welfare Board as an instrument of women development. Chapter 8 discusses the role of voluntary organizations in the promotion of women's status. Chapter 9 examines the role of UGC in promoting the cause of women.
