About the Author:

Dr.Swami Nirmalananda,MBBS,DA,MD(Mumbai) was born in 1952 in Mumbai,India.After graduating in Medicine in 1974,she worked as a consultant anaesthesiologist in Mumbai Hospitals until 1974. Her association with Swami Satyananda Saraswati began in 1986 and in 1997 she was initiated into poorna sannyasa by Swami Niranjananda Sarawati.Since then she has been based in Bihar School of Yoga,Munger. Dr.Swami Nirmalananda has taught and lectured extensively in yoga,particul;arly applied yogic science,and coordinates the research work of the Yoga Research Foundation.
