It discusses the demand of Kashmir Autonomy in the background of Centre-State Relations and the Recommendations of Sarkaria Commission. Summarizing the Autonomy Proposals the book analyses union Governments reaction to it. Pointing out that the doors are open for dialogue and that the search for solution continues, the book ends with the message that the solution to the problems of Kashmir Autonomy lies in an exercise in Centre-State relations acceptable to all parties alike.
