Handcrafted books for Luxury Vagabonds. Handbound, printed on handmade paper and covered in hand loom khadi with a percentage of profits going to the Love Travel Foundation. The third edition of Love Delhi is fully updated and expanded by 16 pages with an introductory essay by William Dalrymple and mini destination guides to Agra, Jaipur, Varanasi, Amritsar, Rishikesh, Ranthambhore and Darjeeling. Love Delhi is a must have guide to the best experiences in that city. In fact, all the savvy inside knowledge that a stylish traveller or resident, craves is here. India has clearly arrived as a hot luxury destination with discerning travellers flocking to the country in unprecedented numbers and yet Delhi, is frequently considered as merely a transit city. Delhi is a destination in and of itself says author Fiona Caulfield. It rivals Athens for history, matches Washington for political power and now gives Paris and New York a run in terms of great shopping and eating she adds. Fiona believes it is time for India s capital to have a stylish and authentic guide that helps the time-poor traveller discover the best experiences in the city. The highly curated guide to Delhi is designed for the discerning traveller who wants authenticity in style. The book celebrates Indian luxury and pays homage to India s rich craft legacy being completely handmade in India. The 168-page book, comprises eight sections including an overview of the city with 'must knows and must dos and presents the best places to eat, drink, shop and visit. Fiona sourced love stories from in-the -know locals; including chefs, artists, designers, architects, foreign correspondents and taxi drivers. Using this guide is like being chaperoned by a good friend. Love Delhi details the most authentic experiences in Delhi. Love Delhi also presents seven of the best escapes from the city and how to fall in love with them also including Agra, Darjeeling, Jaipur, Varanassi, Amritsar, Ranthambore and Rishikesh. Love Delhi is printed on handmade paper and crafted with care by local fashion designers and crafts people. The hand-woven khadi covers were developed in partnership with Delhi based fashion designer, Sonam Dubal of Sanskar. As founder of Love Travel Guides Fiona believes that falling in love with a city is just as exciting as falling in love with a person. Your senses become more engaged and you simply feel more alive, she says. The simplest criteria for inclusion in the guide was: does this place help you fall in love with this city? If yes, then it was in; if no then, it was out. Simple.

Review:
These cherishable guides are a gold mine of local know how. I was so impressed... For one thing, it's their appearance: each is hand-bound using old Indian paper making techniques, with a hand-woven, khadi cover. I cherish the slubbed pages and rough hewen edges. Another reason I rely on them is because Caulfield's local knowledge is compelling, especially her encyclopedic shopping savvy - always handy in India. I'll never shop in India again without her. The loving way she compiled them is a rarity in the mass-produced guide book market. --UK Financial Times - How to Spend It

It looks, and feels, like a book of secrets. And so it is: all the savvy insider knowledge a traveller craves is here. --The Australian

The standard bearer among India guides. Fiona Caulfield's cloth bound books with a personal touch are a must for city visits. --Departures
