Synopsis
On May 4, 1973, Cato Zahl Pedersen received an electric shock of 17,000 volts. The fourteen-year-old hovered between life and death and lost one entire arm and half of the other. On November 4, 1994, Cato Zahl Pedersen found himself in Antarctica with Odd Harald Hauge and Lars Ebbesen. Before the three Norwegians lay the most desolate continent on earth, behind them were sledges weighing 265 lbs. Their objective was the South Pole, 850 miles of ice, cold, wind, snow ridges and crevasses. Everyone said they would never manage it.
