About the Author
Cornel Adam (the pen name of Cornel Adam Lengyel) was born in Fairfield, Connecticut, in 1915. He is the author of many highly acclaimed books, among them Four Days In July, The Creative Self, and Late News From Adams Acres. His literary honours include fellowships at the Macdowell Colony, the Hartford Foundation, the Ossabaw Island Project; the DiCastagnola Award of the Poetry Society of America; a National Endowment for the Arts Award. He lives on his homestead in El Dorado National Forest in Northern California.
