Synopsis

Are you using Silicone molding pastes for the first time, or do you want some extra inspiration?

Here you will find super-quick molding ideas and inspiration for miniaturists, model makers, animators, even jewelry makers, cake decorators and potters.

Making molds at home can be very easy. You can develop an idea from the initial concept to the finished mold without having to learn any 'dark-art' techniques. A little practice will soon have you keeping pace with the fastest-setting materials.

Simple Mold Making shows you how to 'steal' ideas from nature, 'borrow' elements from other people's work, understand and follow copyright rules - and of course create your own masters from scratch. Using molds means that you can concentrate limited time and sculpting skills on creating just one beautiful item, then produce a number of identical copies, which you can manipulate later.

Angie Scarr brings you many of the mold making ideas she has used in over 30 years of making miniatures in polymer clay.
