About the Author
Olivier Schrauwen (Brujas, 1977) es uno de los grandes valores del cómic europeo actual, como demuestran sus dos obras publicadas hasta la fecha en España, Mi pequeño, Mowgli en el espejo y El hombre que se dejó crecer la barba. Si en aquellos trabajos el autor hacía gala de un ánimo experimental y juguetón con el acento puesto en lo gráfico, Arsène Schrauwen deriva hacia lo literario en un relato infinitamente más personal que recuerda a títulos indelebles como El corazón de las tinieblas o Viaje al fin de la noche. Schrauwen narra la historia de su abuelo Arsène en un viaje a las colonias ambientado a mediados del siglo XX en el que se entrecruzan noches tropicals, estaciones lluviosas, misteriosos indígenas, delirios alucinatorios y el descubrimiento del amor. Su trabajo más accesible, también el más conmovedor e impresionante, es este un título destinado a convertirse en uno de los tebeos del año.
