Both born in 1969 and living in Barcelona, Anna Cabrera and Angel Albarrán have been working together for more than twenty years and form a rising duo on the photographic scene. Together, they develop a photographic universe, poetic and sensible where the emotion of the subject meets the beauty of the print. Questioning identity and the traces the camera keeps of the past, their various open series evoke our relationship with time and memory and our perception of the photographic image between reality and illusion.

Condition: New. For years, Angel Albarrán (born 1969) and Anna Cabrera (born 1969) have been the preferred printers for museums and world-renowned photographers such as Masao Yamamoto. Recently they have branched out as artists themselves, experimenting with new and traditional print techniques and exhibiting worldwide. The publication comes with two different covers; the contents are identical. (OCLC) "It is said that one of the things that differentiate us from other creatures on this planet is our ability to imagine multiple outcomes for a single future event. And when our journey is complete, we do look back. However, the trodden path mutates as our memory falters. Despite the intensity of our experiences, the memories of them fade. Perhaps they are not memories at all, but rather dreams of the future." (text). Seller Inventory # 51148

For years, Barcelona-based Angel Albarrán (born 1969) and Anna Cabrera (born 1969) have been the preferred printers for museums and world-renowned photographers such as Masao Yamamoto. Recently they have branched out as artists themselves, experimenting with new and traditional print techniques and exhibiting worldwide. In addition to mastering traditional techniques such as platinum prints and cyanotypes, they have developed a unique print technology: printing photographs with pigments on thin Japanese paper, which is then placed over gold leaf, imbuing the images with an otherworldly quality. . One of the most gorgeously produced volumes of recent years, Albarrán Cabrera: Remembering the Future demonstrates the extraordinary beauty of the duos masterful photographic and printing techniques.
