Este libro presenta su primera traducción en lengua española. Aparecen aquí desarrolladas dos innovaciones analíticas de gran importancia para la ciencia económica. En primer lugar, la teoría de la demanda recíproca en el comercio internacional, que representó un avance crucial sobre el pensamiento de Adam Smith y David Ricardo, al establecer las condiciones para la determinación de los términos del intercambio.
