About the Authors
Fue profesor de literatura en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, impulsor y director del CEPLI (Centro de Estudios de Promoción de la Lectura y Literatura Infantil). Centró su trabajo en el estudio y la difusión de la literatura infantil, con especial dedicación a la poesía de tradición popular. Autor de más de veinte libros, muchos de ellos dedicados a la promoción de la literatura, falleció en Cuenca en 2018 a la edad de 67 años.
Noemí Villamuza nació en Palencia en 1971. Se decidió a estudiar Bellas Artes al dejar el instituto, y luego se especializó en diseño gráfico. Su primer libro ilustrado es Óscar y el león de Correos, que recibió el Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil. Para ella ilustrar para niños supone algo tan maravilloso como recuperar esa infancia perdida que se renueva con fuerza, unida a los conocimientos y experiencia del adulto. En 2002 recibió el Premio Nacional de Ilustración.

Grade 3-5-This is a thorough and engaging collection of 49 child-centered riddles, songs, jokes, and tongue twisters from throughout Latin America. For those who may have never heard one or any of the songs, it would have been nice to include the music (or at least a piano accompaniment), but given how strong and invaluable this collection is, this is a minor complaint.
