Synopsis
El Laberinto de Fortuna es, sin duda, una de las obras mas importantes de la literatura medieval espanola. Desde Nebrija hasta la actualidad, humanistas, gramaticos, comentaristas y literatos han elogiado el Laberinto como modelo de un estilo complejo y latinizante o por su vision nacional, aunque tampoco faltan juicios negativos; y desde la primera edicion, ¿Salamanca, 1481?, hasta nuestros dias el Laberinto ha sido editado casi ininterrumpidamente; ademas, esta conservado en no menos de dieciocho manuscritos. (...)Tras una introduccion, se cuenta como el poeta es arrebatado por el carro de Belona, que le lleva al palacio de la Fortuna. Guiado por la Providencia, el poeta contempla las diversas partes del mundo, y, a continuacion, Ella le muestra tres ruedas: dos inmoviles, las del pasado y del futuro, y una que se mueve, que alegoriza el tiempo presente. Las ruedas contienen siete circulos ordenados concentricamente, conforme al sistema planetario geocentrico de Ptolomeo, y en cada uno de ellos influye uno de los siete planetas.(De la Introduccion de Maxim Kerkhof)
