Poeta en Nueva York"" es una de las obras mas cripticas de Lorca, donde la dificultad interpretativa se une a un extremado problema textual. Su publicacion postuma en 1940, con dos primera ediciones, aparecidas con escasos dias de diferencia y no totalmente coincidentes, convierten la fijacion textual de este premario en una labor ardua, intensificada por la perdida de su manuscrito original. Estas especiales circunstancias son revisadas por Maria Clementa Millan, que combina la fijacion textual con el analisis literario de los temas esenciales debatidos en la obra, la ciudad y el poeta. En esta edicion, se siguen fielmente los que hoy parecen ser los ultimos criterios del autor, publicandose por vez primera las dieciocho ilustraciones fotograficas que debian acompanar sus versos. Igualmente, se incluye una parafrasis de sus diferentes secciones y poemas. --Los editores
