This book presents a brief study of the macroeconomic literature in independent states. It approaches an approximation between the cases of Quebec, Scotland and Catalonia by analysing the existing monetary theories and their implications. It includes a catalogue of all possible monetary agreements made by countries of new creation, and also proposes five economic criteria to be taken into account in a new independent state.
