ENGLISH DESCRIPTION A group of women, confined to the prison of Ventas in Madrid, raise the flag of dignity and anger as the only possible weapon to face humiliation, torture and death. La voz dormida is an essential novel to understand the Spanish civil war since it helps to dive into the role that women played during decisive years in the history of the country.
