El Capitán Trueno y sus amigos llegan en globo a la selva amazónica, donde se encuentran al príncipe Illampú, al que salvan de ser devorado por unos jaguares, pero todos con excepción de Trueno y el príncipe son apresados. Crispín y Goliath son llevados a unas mazmorras, pero conseguirán escapar en el globo que les ha llevado a esas tierras. Trueno también es apresado por los partidarios de Llanco-Huamán, un tirano de la zona. Cuando todo parece perdido y Trueno va a ser sacrificado, aparecerán Goliath y Crispín en el globo aerostático, lo que causará el pánico de la gente que huye aterrorizada tomándoles por espíritus.

Captain Thunder and his friends arrive via hot air balloon to the Amazon Rainforest, where they find Prince Illampú, whom they save from being eating by jaguars.
