This title presents a retrospective catalogue of the photographer Miguel Trillo (Jimena de la Frontera, Cadiz, 1953). His work could be catagorized as photo-documental, (though his first works had a clear experimental vocation), the source of the encounter between the artist and his models is (almost) always accidental and clearly exposes the photographed subjects in their daily and habitual contexts. Since the beginning of the 80's Miguel Trillo has depicted anonymous protagonists from what was know as the 'Movement' in Madrid, and has documented the evolution of urban 'tribes', (Mods, Punks, Goths (Death-rockers), Rappers, Head Bangers...) over the last three decades all over the world. His photographs depict adolescents and young adults trying to find their identities through the assumption of determined attire and or behaviour, that also reflect the contradictions of a society that has experimented a profound transformation in a very short period of time.

With a degree in Image and Hispanic linguistics from the Complutense University of Madrid, the photographer Miguel Trillo has been depicting, since the 70's, diverse generations of young adults in their music inspired environments. Since 1994 he has been residing in Barcelona, where he has developed a sort of modern geographical series, that analyzes the linguistic and territorial Spanish frontiers. The work of Miguel Trillo forms a part of several outstanding public and private collections in Spain and in 2009 was the subject of a retrospective in the CAAC (Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo) in Sevilla.
