About the Author
Gregorio Doval (Madrid, 1957) has a degree in Information Science (Journalism), but has also taken courses in psychology, sociology, social psychology, and philology. He is the author of various books; manuals on the history of cinema and the history of international automobiles deserve special attention. He is also the author of the encyclopedia QuE saber en nuestro tiempo? and of specialized dictionaries. Among his most recent works the following should be mentioned: Refranero temAtico espaNol, Palabras con historia, Anecdotario Universal de Cabecera, El libro de los hechos insOlitos, Diccionario de expresiones extranjeras, Los Ultimos aNos del franquismo (SIntesis, 2007) y CrOnica polItica de la TransiciOn.
