Las cosas no se quedan, por desgracia, en una titanica lucha de egos sino que para aderezar al director de la pelicula, John Huston, no se le ocurre otra cosa que regalarles a los actores una pistola de oro con cinco balas de plata a cada uno, para que se maten entre ellos, si quieren. Como tenia que suceder, alguien muere. Sunny Pascal, el primer detective beatnik de la historia, mitad en todo --mitad mexicano, mitad gringo; mitad alcoholico, mitad surfer; mitad vivo, mitad muerto; alguien con half español, mitad english-- sera el encargado de mantener a raya a chantajistas, ladrones, asesinos, actores, director y equipo tecnico. Y todo ello, mientras mantiene el cool, bebe cocteles y procura que no lo maten a el tambien.

About the Author:

F.G. Haghenbeck was born in Mexico City. He s been an architect, museum designer, freelance editor, and TV producer. He s also the comic book writer of Crimson and Alternation, as well as a Superman series for DC Comics. John Huston biographer William Reed encouraged Haghenbeck to transition into writing crime novels, and the result is Bitter Drink, which has already won the Turn of the Screw Crime Novel Award in Mexico. Haghenbeck currently works full time writing novels and editing historical and pop-culture books. He loves eating his wife s gourmet food, drinking cocktails, reading the noir novels of Raymond Chandler and Paco Ignacio Taibo II, and watching cartoons with his daughter, Arantza.
