About the Author
As the Egyptian Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs, Zahi Hawass brought Egypt into the homes and hearts of people worldwide through numerous television appearances, particularly for National Geographic, BBC, CNN, and the Discovery Channel. In more than 20 years of excavations, he has made several major discoveries, including the tombs of the pyramid builders and the Valley of the Golden Mummies” in the Bahariya Oasis. Author of many books and articles on the pyramids, Zahi Hawass lectures all over the world and currently is working with the Giza Plateau Conservation Project and announcing a new approach for uniting tourism and archaeology.
