La loro "impotenza, mancanza di storia, di cultura e insignificanza" può essere abolita solo attraverso l'insorgere di una soggettivazione femminile "imprevista". Piuttosto che continuare a essere oggetto di dinamiche di potere storico-sociale, le donne - secondo Lonzi - dovrebbero diventare oggetto delle proprie pratiche di vita attraverso un allontanamento dalle norme patriarcali. In occasione della mostra Doing Deculturalization (Museion, Bolzano, 2019), gli autori del libro esplorano il grado critico dell'approccio femminista e radicale che secondo Lonzi connota tutte quelle strutture colonizzanti del potere, affrontando al contempo il rapporto - da sempre storicamente ambivalente - tra arte e formazione delle teorie femministe in Italia.
