La storia di un vecchio lupo mannaro, ormai sdentato e inoffensivo, che durante una notte passa d'incontro in incontro (un barista, un vagabondo, un benzinaio, un ragazzo, tutti più o meno coinvolti in ricordi che riguardano la simbologia del lupo), nel tentativo di recuperare le forze ritrovando coloro che un tempo credevano nelle favole. Ma proprio perchè ormai i bambini di un tempo sono cresciuti e le hanno dimenticate, il lupo si sente debole e inerme.
