About the Author
Kaylene Whitley lives on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, home of the magnificent Lamington National Park and the inspiration for The Little Rainforest Tree. Kaylene has worked on numerous local and international humanitarian projects, including eight years in the United States volunteering with Friend Ships a humanitarian aid organization. On the Gold Coast, she was instrumental in establishing Elevation Care, a community food distribution centre for those in need, as well as a project to provide new school shoes for local disadvantaged children. Her fundraising adventures have taken her across the Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea, to benefit special needs children, and she enjoys hik-ing in her favorite place, Lamington National Park discovering the many wonders of the Rainforest treasures.
