The past few decades have witnessed a renewed scholarly interest in the Septuagint, especially with regard to its importance for the fields of theology, Jewish studies, classics, philosophy, history of religions, linguistics, and history of literature. R. Glenn Wooden, Ph.D. (2000) in the Book of Daniel, St Andrews University (UK), is Associate Professor of Old Testament Studies at Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, NS, Canada.
