About the Author:
Dr John S. Partington has been editor of The Wellsian since 1999 and has published several articles on Wells's science fiction, political thought and utopian theory. He is also the author of 'Building Cosmopolis: The Political Thought of H.G. Wells' (2003) and co-editor (with Professor Patrick Parrinder) of 'The Reception of H.G. Wells in Europe'. He currently lectures in History at the University of Reading.
