Leprosy is still a public health problem in many countries. Through leprosy control programs much effort is being made to ensure a high quality of health services for leprosy patients. To this end, such programs are regularly evaluated. Feedback from patients and community, i.e. the "clients" of the health services, is vital in obtaining a good understanding of the quality of the programs. In order to include the clients’ perspective in evaluations, it is important to conduct studies to assess "client satisfaction" in leprosy control programs. These guidelines describe how such a study can be set up and carried out.
