Dr Romée Snijders graduated as a medical doctor from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She subsequently worked as a medical doctor in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Radboudumc, where she combined clinical practice with scientific research. During this period, she completed her PhD in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Radboudumc, contributing to advancements in the field through academic research.In 2025, Dr Snijders began her residency in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Jeroen Bosch Hospital, continuing her dedication to specialised patient care and clinical excellence.Alongside her medical career, Dr Snijders is actively involved in medical education and healthcare entrepreneurship. She is co founder and editorial board member of Compendium Geneeskunde and Compendium Medicine, where she contributes to the development of innovative, visually structured medical books for students and healthcare professionals worldwide. She also serves as a board member of Dokters op Hakken, supporting initiatives that empower medical professionals and strengthen the healthcare community.

Dr Veerle Smit is a medical doctor who graduated from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Following her studies, she gained two years of clinical experience working in children and youth psychiatry, where she developed a strong interest in accessible medical education and clear communication within healthcare.Alongside her clinical work, Dr Smit has been actively involved in healthcare entrepreneurship. Dr Gwendolyn Vuurberg is a medical doctor who graduated from the University of Amsterdam. She previously trained and worked as a physical therapist before pursuing her medical degree. She completed her PhD in Orthopaedic Surgery at Amsterdam UMC, focusing on lateral ankle injuries, and continues to work there as a post doctoral researcher in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.Since 2020, Dr Vuurberg has been a radiology resident at Rijnstate Hospital. She is actively involved in the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Radiologie, where she serves on the Research Committee and contributes to professional education and scientific initiatives.Dr Vuurberg has long been engaged in medical education publishing. She is a senior editorial board member of Compendium Geneeskunde and has served as medical editor and chief editor for multiple titles within Compendium Medicine, contributing to the development of concise, practice oriented medical pocket books for students and healthcare professionals.
