About the Author

"Currently Professor of Communications at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Dr. Mathukutty M Monippally (Matthew Monippally) was earlier with Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL, now The English and Foreign Languages University), Hyderabad. He received his PhD in the field of language and communication education from Manchester University, UK. His other graduate education was at Poona University (MA) and CIEFL (MLitt and PGDTE). He has taught at different levels in India, Libya, and Nepal. He has presented papers at national and international conferences. Professor Monippally’s contributions to the field of communication include – The Craft of Business Letter Writing, Business Communication Strategies, Business Communication: From Principles to Practice [published by McGraw-Hill Education (India) Pvt. Ltd.] and Academic Writing: A Guide for Management Students and Researchers (co-author: BS Pawar, IIM Kozhikode). He offers extensive support for business communication teachers. He has conducted a large number of training workshops in different aspects of communication for middle, senior, and top mangers of several companies.
