About the Author
Ruth Comfort Mitchell Young was an American writer and playwright known for her work in novels and drama. She wrote under her maiden name as well as her married name, Mrs. Sanborn Young. She was married to California State Senator Sanborn Young. Born to parents whose names are not widely documented, she began her career in the early 20th century and gained recognition for exploring themes related to social issues, personal struggles, and human kindness.
