S. K. Gupta s academic career has spanned more than two decades thus far, during which he has served on the faculties of engineering and technology education departments in various capacities. Currently, he is Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Haryana. He has published more than 60 research papers in international and national journals and conferences of repute. He is a recipient of Certificate of Merit awarded by The Institution of Engineers (India) for 2003-2004 for a research paper published in The Journal of Institution of Engineers (India). He is a member of ISTE, IEEE and is a fellow of IE(I) and IETE. He has visited Montreal (Canada) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) under the TEQIP World Bank Project, and Venice (Italy) for participation in research at an international level. He is the author of another textbook Power System Engineering.
