The essence of this book is the innovative approach used to learn ANSYS software by imitation, i.e. using the examples provided in this book. The primary aim of this book is to assist in learning the use of the ANSYS software through examples taken from various areas of engineering. An attempt has been made to provide the readers with a comprehensive cross section of analysis types, in order to provide a broad choice of examples to be imitated in one s own work. This book is exclusively structured around ANSYS, and no other finite element (FE) software currently available is considered. The book is divided into four sections. Section I introduces the readers to the brief overview of ANSYS. Section II deals with the APDL part of ANSYS. Section III concentrates on ANSYS using Workbench. It contains tutorials on problems solved using Workbench. Section IV deals with cases of CFD / CFX problems solved using ANSYS. Chapter 20 provides a brief overview of ANSYS CFX. Chapter 21 consists of illustrations to help users use the CFX part of ANSYS in a hassle-free manner. Salient Features: Provides a variety of solved problems using APDL. The non-linear structural analysis part is explained with real-life examples. A chapter on Composites, which in recent times have been used extensively in aircraft structures, automobiles, sporting goods, and many consumer product, is dealt with. The text is well supported by illustrations for a more clear understanding of all the sections of ANSYS.
