About the Author

Dr. P.C. Nagesh was born in 1965. He obtained his Master's (1988) and Doctoral degrees (1995) and was a faculty member from 1992, Department of Geology, Bangalore University, Bengaluru. He has published 25 national and international papers and supervised 10 students for Ph.D. progammes at the Bangalore University. He is the Life Member of Geological Society of India, Paleontological Society of India, Mineralogical Society of India, Indian Society of Analytical Scientist Bangalore Chapter. Dr. M.T. Maruthesha Reddy obtained M.Sc. Geology in 1981, M.Tech. (PMDH-Post M.Sc. in Hydrogeology) in 1982, DEP (PG Diploma in Environmental Planning) in 1983 from Mysore University, Mysore and Ph.D. from Bangalore University, Bengaluru. He has served the Department of Civil Engineering, M.V.J. College of Engineering, Bangalore 1983, and gained promotion as an Assistant Professor in January 1985. Since then he served there as an Assistant Professor till 15th August, 2010, on 16th August, 2010 he joined South East Asian College of Engineering and Technology (SEACET) as a Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering till 29th of July, 2012. On 30th July, 2012 he joined Acharya Institute of Technology, as a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering. He is a fellow of the Geological Society of India (FGS) and Mineralogical Society of India (FMS). Besides he is a Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (MISTE) and Member of Indian Water Works Association (MIWWA). He has authored 25 national and international journal papers and 13 textbooks. He is the recipient of Dr. M.V.J. award for his outstanding journal publications.
