Throughout the economic and social upheaval of the last decade, thinking about our future has proven to be a practice of vital importance. A thorough assessment of the future offers us a steady base from which to put in place sustainable policies. This domain of thinking futures relies on multidisciplinary research on leadership, strategy and decision-making amidst turbulent and uncertain circumstances. To this end, Thinking Futures offers insights into the development of proactive measures. Secondly, it suggests promising strategies for the introduction of future thinking into organizations and international policy. Thinking Futures provides us with an indispensable source of inspiration to managers, policy makers, entrepreneurs, politicians, or simply anyone willing to shape our societal future.
"An essential book for anyone concerned for our future." Herman Van Rompuy, former President of the European Council.
"The strategic debate on future thinking should be the Alpha and Omega for current leadership. This important book could urge them to take action." Herman H.F. Wijffels, professor, economist, banker, executive director of the World Bank (2006-2008).
