About the Author

Dr. Swan has been one of the world’s leading lawyers advising major international financial businesses, international organizations, national governments, banks, exchanges, clearinghouses, markets, and tech companies. He was Partner and Consultant in major international law firms, including Skadden Arps, Brown Rudnick, Cameron McKenna and Simmons and Simmons. Professor Swan has been Visiting Professor of Law at University College London and the Catholic University in Lille and Paris, France, and the IESEG School of Management in Lille and Paris. He has been Member of the Board of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London. Dr. Swan has published many law books and dozens of articles, including law books for Oxford University Press and Kluwer Law International. Dr. Swan attended Rocky Mountain College and Harvard University and has a Juris Doctor degree from New York University and a PhD in Law from the University of London.
